SAW: Adam (Leigh Whannell) and Dr Lawrence Gordon (Cary Elwes) wake up chained to pipes at opposite ends of a dirty utility room. They soon learn that they have become the victims of the Jigsaw, a serial killer who devises intricate situations to get his victims to kill each other. Pitted against the clock and each other, the two must work to outwit their captor and save Gordon`s family, who have been taken hostage by the killer.

SAW II: While investigating the bloody aftermath of a grisly murder, Detective Eric Mathews (Donnie Wahlberg) has the feeling that it is the work of Jigsaw--the brilliantly twisted, notorious killer who disappeared leaving only a trail of bodies behind. And Mathews is right, Jigsaw is at work again. But this time there are eight strangers sealed in a house--unaware of their connection to each other and forced to play out a game that challenges their wits and puts their lives in jeopardy.

SAW III: Jigsaw (Tobin Bell)--the puppet-master behind the cruel, intricate games--and his new apprentice Amanda (Shawnee Smith) have eluded capture and vanished. While city detectives scramble to locate them, a young Doctor is unaware that she is about to become the latest pawn on Jigsaw's vicious chessboard.

SAW IV: Jigsaw and his apprentice Amanda are dead. Upon news of Detective Kerry's murder, two seasoned FBI profilers arrive in the terrified community to assist in sifting through Jigsaw's latest grisly remains and piecing together the puzzle. However, when SWAT commander Rigg is abducted and thrust into a game, the last officer untouched by Jigsaw has only 90 minutes to overcome a series of demented traps and save an old friend or face the deadly consequences.

SAW V: Detective Mark Hoffman (Costa Mandylor)--Jigsaw's final apprentice--is praised by his colleagues for his efforts in bringing the notorious serial killer to justice. However, FBI Agent Strahm (Scott Peterson)--a survivor of one of Jigsaw's traps--is not so convinced of Hoffman's heroics and begins to dig deeper into the lawman. But as Strahm gets closer to the truth and a new game begins, Hoffman must go on the hunt to eliminate all loose ends.

SAW VI: Detective Mark Hoffman walks out of the glass box and leaves no trails leading to him as Agent Strahm's murderer. Forensics have yet to discover Strahm and his missing body when a young teenager is found to be the latest survivor of the Jigsaw games.

To Hoffman's surprise, he claims that Jigsaw could not have tested the boy, since he knows he did not test him himself. The survivor, known as Garett, reveals the circumstances of his trap to Hoffman, who interrogates him. At this point, Hoffman is shocked to find Garett was targeted, even though Garett did nothing wrong in his life to make him a candidate for being "tested".
Fearing that he may make himself too obvious or that Garett could soon discover his secret, Hoffman throws him into a vast game in which hopefully his secret will die with Garett. However, we have yet to realise that Garett's role in the games may have an unexpected turn of events...

SAW 3D: As a fierce battle rages over Jigsaw's (Tobin Bell) terrible legacy, survivors seek support from a fellow survivor and self-help guru, who has a few dark secrets of his own. Meanwhile, crooked cop Hoffman (Costas Mandylor) seeks revenge against Jigsaw's wife and an author who has his own story.
