Charles Coleman (Taye Diggs - Empire) is a respected judge dedicated to punishing the guilty and delivering justice for the grieving. So when his only son is pulled over by highway cops and shot dead, he searches for answers. The police investigation finds the officers committed no wrongdoing and after slandering Judge Coleman's son, the case is buried. It is a devastating blow made even more shattering after Coleman's trusted friend, Detective Horace (John Cusack - High Fidelity) finds evidence of a cover-up - including previous cases where unarmed men have been inexplicably gunned down by the same cops. It is all the judge needs to seek his on justice and when he swaps his gavel for a gun, Coleman starts laying down the law in a while new way.
