Magic Moments of Motorsport: Group C Gold - Volume 2 DVD

The 1980's was an incredible decade for Australian touring car racing and, on this Seven Sport's Magic Moments of Motorsport DVD release, we take a look at some fabulous Group C touring car racing from the period. First up is the 1982 CRC Chemicals 300 endurance race from Amaroo Park, won by the Mazda RX-7 of 1980 Formula 1 World Champion Alan Jones and Sydney ace Barry Jones. This race was salvaged from tapes thought to be irretrievable, but our hard-working archive team have managed to save a real racing gem and we have included it on this DVD for you to enjoy. Also included is the opening round of the 1984 Amscar Series, also held at Amaroo Park. A track-specific series for touring cars, this round features the big V8 Falcons of Dick Johnson and Steve Masterton up against the Nissan Bluebird of Gary Scott, BMW of Jim Richards and a whole host of local Sydney racers keen to claim some big name scalps on their home track.
