Sellers plays Dick Scratcher, a villainous ship's cook whose fearsome concoctions have claimed more victims than the pirate vessel's guns. When the contents of his evil cooking pot fail to despatch the captain to Davy Jones's locker Scratcher finished off the job with a knife, takes over command and launches the crew into a full-scale treasure hunt.
