A boating accident off the coast of Spain sends Paul (Ezra Godden) and his girlfriend Barbara (Raquel Merono) to the dilapidated fishing village of Imboca looking for help. As night falls people start to vanish and things not quite human appear in their stead. Running for his life with the entire town in pursuit, Paul discovers Imboca's dark secret...the freakish half-human creatures that populate the town, and the monstrous God of the Sea they worship--DAGON!

All outsiders are sacrificed--the men are flayed alive and the women offered as unwilling brides to bear Dagon's unholy children. With the aid of Ezequiel, the sole untainted person in the village (Franciso Rabal), Paul races to find Barbara and escape a horrific fate.
