When orphan Phoenix Wilder moves to his aunt's house in Africa, it seems his life has finally changed for the better. From the moment he arrives, he falls in love with the African landscape and his aunt (Elizabeth Hurley) showers him with the kindness he's been missing.
But when he becomes lost on an expedition, he must learn to conquer his fears and survive in the untamed wilderness. Stumbling upon a giant bull elephant trapped in a net, he sets him free kind the two become companions. With poachers in the area, however, the wild jungle is not the worst danger they will face. So with his new friend, Phoenix sets out on an epic quest to return home in this feel-good family movie that has a poignant message.
